Dr. Mauricio Papa’s primary research area is critical infrastructure protection. Propelled by a world-class research program in SCADA network security, Papa designed and constructed a novel process control network test bed, the only one of its kind in academia. He also conducts research in distributed systems, network security, cryptographic protocol verification and intelligent control systems. Papa received his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1992 and his Master of Science in electrical engineering and doctorate in computer science from TU in 1996 and 2001, respectively.

Education: Doctorate in Computer Science from The University of Tulsa

Background: Conducts research in distributed systems, network security, cryptographic protocol verification and intelligent control systems.
